Does anyone out there own one of these

On 3 March 2015, the Suzuki released details of a small 4WD concept car, called the "Suzuki iM-4" at the Geneva International Motor Show. On 30 October 2015, the production version, known as the Ignis was exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show. On 21 January 2016, Suzuki officially announced the launch of the Ignis in the Japanese market.

I am surprised at the lack of postings on this part of the forum. Does it mean that the Ignis is so reliable that there are no problems or is it too boring to write about? It looks like a nice car and seems to get good reviews, however it would be good to hear from real owners. It is at the top of my list to replace my 2005 Suzuki GV2000.

I think it's the case that new Ignis owners have not yet found this forum. Hopefully, these two posts will help bring it higher in the search engine results.

so far no real problems reported. the suspension can be hard when fully loaded, there is a fix for it should anyone come across this concern..
the pioneer audio unit is throwing a few curved balls with glitches , most fixed by software updates.
the SLDA audio fitted to most is not affected at all.
on the whole another suzuki that just gets on with the job at hand.

It's nice to hear that there are so few problems. I am considering the 4WD version as a replacement for my 2005 GV2000, which has been faultless since I bought it new. Two questions if I may, is the engine belt or chain drive and do you know where it is built? Up to now every Suzuki I have owned have been built in Japan and have been very very reliable.

I have been wondering how it compares with the Jimny. Obviously I am talking four wheel drive versions. When the new Jimny comes out it might still have selectable 4WD and I have turned towards permanent since I have stopped doing farmland.
So is there anyone out there that has experience of both Jimny and Ignis.

Nice to see someone else is interested in the Ignis. My plan is to replace my petrol 2005 GV2000 next year, subject to road test and reports on the Ignis being satisfactory. It will be a tough sell because the GV has been reliable, comfortable, quick and all round brilliant Though I do admit at 31mpg it's a little thirsty, my tame MOT man is always impressed by how well built it is. I have seen one or two about, they do look different. Not sure about the 4WD having a battery system I would settle for no battery and slightly worse performance.

Hi Guys.. yes I own one. Have been looking at them for some time. I love funky style cars - had a Kia Soul few years back until it was written off !

Hope we can get some activity on this forum with the new Ignis.

Regards Nicko.
