Currently there is a plethora of Carry vans, and two Carry trucks, being offered on eBay. Does this mean they are now widely regarded as having reached the end of their useful working life ?

There are two high-mileage amongst them, a T reg with 129,855 miles recorded and 03 reg indicating 120,000 miles.

An extremely-high mileage Carry is being offered on eBay at present. It is a 2000 'W' reg model and the mileage is quoted as 198,083. This is the highest I have noted so far and I have been keeping a record of high-mileage Carrys on eBay for over three years.

[Perhaps I should get out more often !]

Tiny mileage

Just noticed a 2001 blue carry with only 14,000 miles on the clock on ebay. 1000 miles a year approx!

Yes, I noticed it too. It seems hardly worthwhile paying for the road-tax and insurance, etc, for a vehicle which is so rarely used. It would be cheaper to use a taxi occasionally - nowadays some taxis are quite large if one wishes to move a quantity of parcels, or similar.

From the photographs the Carry does seem to be in very good condition.

One can doubt the mileage, but my daughter recently bought an '02 Peugeot with 17,000 - the service book mileages were all consistent with it being genuine. We worked out it must have been used twice a week to go to the shops!

In previous postings above, now over a year ago, I noted some high-mileage Carry vans on offer. Since then there have been more for sale on eBay at about the 150,000 mark and so I gave up reporting them. However, I've just noticed a Carry with a mileage of 261,000 being offered on eBay. That's over ¼-million miles ! See eBay item number:- 201727010275 .

So it seems my 55 reg Carry campervan (one from the last batch to be imported) at just under 90,000 miles still has a considerable life left in it -- perhaps longer than me, as I'm almost 80.
