Drivers door hinge pin worn

Postby olivefarmer » Sat Oct 31, 2020 11:52 pm

2002 Vitara. My drivers door top hinge pin is badly worn.

Rear doors of four door are pins like rivets. Front doors and rear door have a pin you can knock out just held on with a circlip in groove of pin.

Can you buy the pin or is it a new hinge only please? Cannot find anything on uk ebay.

Thanks in anticipation

The pin is not shown separately in the parts catalog, so I assume it is treated as part of the hinge. Could you perhaps get a local workshop to run them up for you on a lathe?

Thought that might be the case.

When lockdown is over, I will try a scrap yard for a little used passenger door side pin.

Thanks for your help.
